I’m Duane Smith, a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, and marine fabricator. In 1999, I bought a new Road Glide and loved how comfortable it was until I took off for a 1200-mile weekend. After that uncomfortable ride, I started searching for ways to create a seat that could be ridden for hours on end. After plenty of trial and error, I’ve learned how to make a seat that will keep you comfortable on long rides.

OEM motorcycle seats are made one size fits all for the most part. You might find some that claim to be made for taller people or woman riders, but they cannot account for your body’s unique design.
